A Swim Program That Maps the Whole Journey, Not Just One Lesson

A good swim program should answer two questions before a parent even asks: where does my child start, and where can this lead? Ours answers both. Every AquaSplash swimmer sits on a defined level with clear skills to master before moving up, and the same ladder that welcomes a nervous three-year-old into their first beginner swimming lesson continues all the way to national-level competition. You are never enrolling in a one-off swimming class. You are joining a progression.

The Full Level Ladder

Swimmers advance level by level, typically over around two months each, with movement based on mastered skills rather than time served. Grouping is by ability, not age.

Level Stage What the swimmer works on
Wiggler Active Start Entering safely, breath control, submerging, water comfort
Splasher Fundamental Floating, gliding, kicking, first unaided movement
Kicker Learn to Train Developing all four strokes with correct mechanics
Improver Train to Train Building endurance, refining technique, training discipline
Traveller Train to Compete Pace work, race rules, first competition experience
Challenger Train to Win Periodised, high-performance competitive training

The three core tracks within the swim program

Learn To Swim (beginner swimming lessons). For children from three years old, this is the foundation: safety first, then confidence, then real strokes. Every beginner swimming lesson is built around patience and structure in equal measure, and small classes of five to six make sure no one is left treading water while the group moves on.

Pre-Competitive. Once a swimmer can hold all four strokes, this track introduces endurance, pace work and goal-setting. It is the bridge between knowing how to swim and learning how to race.

Elite Competitive. Periodised, high-performance training for athletes targeting state, national and international meets. Race strategy, meet preparation and serious training loads live here.

Specialised disciplines

Beyond the core ladder, our swim program runs focused options for specific goals:

  • Adult swimming lessons, for beginners and improvers, group or private.
  • Lifesaving, including Bronze Medallion preparation and CPR.
  • Open water swimming, covering sighting, navigation and current handling.
  • Finswimming, developing mono-fin and bi-fin technique.
  • Special needs lessons, with pre-assessments and private tracking.

Before you enrol: the assessment

Every new swimmer completes a 15 to 20 minute skill assessment (RM10) with a certified coach. It is the only reliable way to place a swimmer accurately, and it protects your money: you pay for the right level from day one, whether that is an advanced squad or a first swimming class for a complete beginner.

What to bring

Swimmers need basic kit: goggles and a kickboard to start. Our pools are outdoor and chlorinated, with clean changing and shower facilities and free parking nearby at each clubhouse.

Prior swimming experience is not necessary, as our programs are thoughtfully structured to support complete beginners and those at more advanced levels.
Indeed, all new students must complete an assessment to determine their appropriate placement according to their skill level.
What is the student-to-instructor ration in each class?
The class size for the Basic level is limited to a maximum of 5 students, while the Advanced level accommodates a maximum of 6 students.
Grouping is determined by the individual’s swimming ability, rather than their age.
In the case of light rain, classes will proceed as scheduled. For heavy rain, we will notify parents via WhatsApp 30 minutes prior to the class. Any cancelled classes will be rescheduled accordingly.

A missed class may be rescheduled provided the absence meets the following criteria:

  • Illness: A medical certificate is required.
  • Emergency: Advance notification with a valid reason is necessary.
  • Vacation: Kindly inform us at least one week in advance.
The class schedule will be provided via WhatsApp. Should you require a change in timing, kindly inform the administration at least two days in advance.
Children with a pronounced fear of water may find private lessons to be more beneficial at first. This will be carefully evaluated during the assessment.
Parents are welcome to remain on-site and observe the class.
How long does it generally take acquire swimming skills?
The rate of progress dif ers for each individual; however, on average, it takes about two months to complete each level.

Our program is designed with the following structured levels:

  1. Active Start (Wigler)
  2. Fundamental (Splasher)
  3. Learn to Train (Kicker)
  4. Train to Train (Improver)
  5. Train to Compete (Traveller)
  6. Train to Win (Challenger)
Progress is recorded in our internal system, Aquasplash UDIO, and parents will receive regular updates.
Children with prior experience may be placed in a more advanced level, subject to the results of an initial assessment.
